Suffice to say, it met ALL of our expectations, and surpassed them! We had four equal airconditioned bedrooms and bathrooms, complete with outdoor showers (what a treat!). The villa is located on the crest of a hill, overlooking both Chocolate Hole and Hart Bay. This gave us both Sunrise and Sunset views. (sigh. I wanna go back...) It also allowed a constant breeze to blow through the villa. The doubles tennis court was very underutilized by us, but the Hermit crabs seemed to appreciate it. The kitchen had up-to-date appliances, and Caphalon cookware. Please note, however, there were no spices of any kind in the cupboard - not even salt! We all agreed that if they could have fit in our luggage, the world's most comfortable lawn chairs would have disappeared when we left. Having a pool and Jacuzzi was just adding icing to the cake!"

The expression invites such elevated pre-conceptions - the perfect set-up for disappointment among vacationing families who may now expect just a little too much...the name...placed arrived with what we thought were indeed high expectations...It was great! "I just went on to your web site to write you a little note since I didn't get a chance to write much in your book, and I looked at your pictures. I can't believe that we were swimming in your pool this morning and looking out over Chocolate Hole....when we were driving to Coral Bay on Centerline Road, and we rounded the turn at Bordeaux Mountain, my childhood dreams came alive. That view of Coral Bay is what I always pictured a tropical island to look like. And what's more, I now know why I always had that picture in my mind...it looks like Peter Pan's Never Never Land. Some time when a guest comes to your villa with small children and they bring the Disney Peter Pan video with them, take a look at the first view of Never Never Land as Wendi and her brothers are flying in with Peter. It looks like the Disney illustrators saw a picture of Coral Bay from that mountain pass, and just started drawing. When we rounded the corner, and I saw that first view, I literally lost my breath. After 43 years, I was finally seeing Never Never Land, and it was the tropical paradise that I always knew it would be.Thanks for being my "Peter Pan" and leading me to paradise. In addition, the clubroom made an ideal separate room for a teenager (with the all-important personalTV with cable and VCR). Tropical Treats Thrown into Paradise my eyes were at awe, the tropical night sky seemed without a flaw. A painted black canvass splattered with white spots, a moon playing father to all his little dots.Night turns to day and black turns to blue, revealing the abundance of beautiful hues. The blue sky and turquoise Caribbean sea, the white beach sands and the tall palm tree.Sitting on this mountain staring across the bay, I see another mountain pushing into the sky. What we loved the most was that we could watch the sun rise and the sun set! Amazing! The tennis courts were great for us to stay active and fun for the little guy who was 1 1⁄2 to run around in. A great addition would be to put lights for night time play! We had everything we needed in the house. We used the big book everyday for information. We hired Laura from Passion Fruit Chefs and some of the best food! I can’t imagine the restaurants being any better than the meals she made for us. "The holiday was very good and the family had a very memorable vacation with all 4 children and their children in tow. The island beaches are excellent and most enjoyable as is the whole of the National Park - we did the reef bay walk which was good. St John is one place we would return to - something that only about 20% of our vacation spots achieves, so it was well regarded. "It was a heavenly week! Your villa is everything you promised, and St. John is a perfect spot for a winter getaway. Cimmaron was very responsive to our requests--another reason for our enjoyment. I was about to say you have thought of everything we could possibly need, but then came up with one tiny suggestion: You and Cimmaron could include in your notes (pre-travel, and on site) the following information for departing guests: you can store luggage with the taxi drivers in Charlotte Amalie upon landing and then wander around town, have lunch, sightsee. It's $15 per person, including transportation to the airport. via e-mail: "We're back in the cold North and already thinking about a return to Great Expectations. It was a wonderful trip for our family and the villa is set up beautifully for our family with with adult children and young grandchildren. Cimmaron Management was very responsive when we had a few problems ( no water one day after we got back from the beach, our granddaughter's horrible (unknown until then) allergic reaction to mosquito bites (age 5)) and resolved things very quickly. We were extremely impressed with this level of responsiveness. Our water came back after a short time and the villa gounds were sprayedwhile we were at the beach so with that and lots of extra insect repellant she was in good shape. The house was spacious, allowing people to spread out, and very comfortable and well appointed. The views were spectacular! Every morning was spent at a beach. Our favorite was Maho with its sandy shore, shallow water and protected bay. The surprise was the intensity of the sun! We quickly moved to a siesta during the heat of the day...We all waited for so long for this week and now it is over and just a wonderful memory.
