Beau Geste, the 3 bedroom guest house of Great Expectations

Great sunrise and sunset views, breezes, pool and hot tub, hammocks galore!

Located just a short walk (25 yards) along a lighted path from the Main Villa, the Guest House ("Beau Geste") offers 3 additional bedrooms which may be rented along with the 5 bedrooms in the Main Villa. The 2 bedrooms on the first floor of the Guest House are connecting bedrooms and ideal for families with young children.

Beau Geste has its own fully-enclosed (safe for young children) swimming pool and hot tub, outdoor furniture, hammocks, and the same great sunrise and sunset views as the Main Villa!

The sleeping configurations in Beau Geste consist of:
-the top floor Owners Suite on the top floor (sleeps up to 3 persons)
-the first floor bedroom (sleeps up to 4 persons)
-The Sun Room also on the first floor (sleeps up to 2 persons) 

The Owners Suite (accommodates up to 3 persons)

The Owners Suite on the top floor of the Guest House is a very large (20' by 24'), air-conditioned studio apartment the size of the Great Room in the Main Villa. It has a Queen-size four poster bed with a spectacular Caribbean view and a futon which opens into a full size bed.

The Owners Suite is equipped with high speed Internet (WiFi), a flat-screen cable HDTV and DVD player, an AM/FM stereo with CD player, MP3/IPod cable, and built-in wall speakers, and telephone with answering machine. It has its own bathroom (with bidet), double sink vanity and indoor/outdoor shower. It has a full gourmet kitchen (refrigerator with automatic icemaker, super quiet dishwasher, self-cleaning oven with halogen stovetop), front-loading washer and dryer, ceiling fan, cathedral ceiling with skylights and sofit lighting.  It has outdoor decks on both the east and west sides and a stainless steel gas BBQ grill. It has a recumbent exercise bicycle.

Fabulous Views both to the East and to the West

You will find views both to the east (you can lie in bed and watch the sun and sometimes even the moon rise up over the Caribbean Sea!) and to the west overlooking Chocolate Hole harbor.  One of my favorite views is looking west beyond Chocolate Hole through the saddle into Pillsbury Sound. This is the body of water between St Thomas and St John. I love to lie in the hammock watching the ferries, barges, and sailboats go back and forth. 

THE FIRST FLOOR GUEST BEDROOM  (accommodates up to 4 persons)

The first floor bedroom in the Guest House  is the same size (20' by 12') as one of the 4 bedrooms in the Villa. Like the Villa bedrooms, this bedroom has a ceiling fan and is air-conditioned and has a private bathroom with a double sink vanity and an indoor/outdoor shower (it also has a small Caribbean stone bath tub). The Guest Bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and two futons (one futon opens into a full size bed and the other into a twin size bed). This room has a coffee maker and small refrigerator.

This bedroom connects directly to The Sun Room providing a connecting bedroom for parents who wish to have direct access to their children's bedroom. 

The Sun Room (first floor of the Guest House, accommodates up to 2 persons)

The Sun Room, a smaller bedroom, adjoining the first floor Guest House bedroom has its own full bathroom and is also air-conditioned. The Sun Room has a trundle bed (two Twin-size beds one of which stores under the other when not needed) which can be configured either as a King-size bed or set up as one or two Twin beds.  The Sun Room can be accessed either directly from the first floor bedroom of the Guest House or by its own entrance and can be used as a separate 8th bedroom. 

Please note that the upstairs and downstairs rooms in the Guest House are accessed by an outside staircase so that we do not recommend children 12 or younger sleep in the downstairs bedrooms by themselves. The Sun Room can serve as a connecting bedroom for the 1st floor bedroom for parents with small children.

If the guests whom have rented the Villa do not need to use the Guest House, it may be available to rent by itself. Beau Geste has its own separate driveway, parking area, entrance, and lots of beautiful landscaping so privacy from the Main Villa is assured.
