Getting to St John - fly into St Thomas (STT)
The majority of the island being undeveloped National park land, St. John has no airport (this is one of the things we all like about St John!). The closest airport is on St. Thomas, a 20 minute ferry ride from St. John. Airlines offering non-stop service from the mainland USA to St. Thomas are
American Airlines and
US Airways.
Continental,
Delta,
United and
Spirit.
The Virgin Islands is even easier for New Englanders to get to with the recent announcement by
Jet Blue that they are starting non-stop flights into St Thomas (STT) from Boston. Effective December 15, 2011, Jet Blue launched five weekly flights between Boston Logan International Airport and St. Thomas International Airport (STT).
Air Canada also announced that starting December 2011 it flys from Toronto Canada to St Thomas (STT).
If you want to connect through Peurto Rico,
Cape Air has several flights a day scheduled into the St Thomas airport.
