Great Expectations is conveniently located just 5 minutes from Cruz Bay

Our little island of St John is < than 20 square miles but at every turn (and there are lots of them) you will be treated to spectacular views! Great Expectations is conveniently located on the southwestern corner of St John. The Villa is just a 5 minute drive to Cruz Bay where the ferry arrives and you will find lots of interesting restaurants, grocery stores, and shops.  The National Park beaches are a 15 minute drive (5 minutes north of Cruz Bay) from Great Expectations and line the entire northern spine of the island.

Since two-thirds of St John is a US National Park, it will be forever green. The view to the east from Great Expectatins is of beautiful Rendezvous Bay, Ditleff Point, and the green of the National Park and Reef Bay. There are wonderfully challenging or flat trails many of which end at the water's edge.

St John is one of four islands that comprise the United States Virgin Islands. The other three 'sister' islands are: St Thomas (home of our legislature, major airport, cruise ship ports, and world class golf course, Mahogany Run); St Croix (home of not one but two rum distilleries: Cruzan Rum and Captain Morgan's Rum); and, Water Island (our littlest and newest Virgin Island).
