complete video set of the Sopranos (Sam says thanks), the large airy

reunion here in St. John . We come from New York, Tennessee, Colorado,
Texas and Florida. Our first impression was "we have to stay
here or take it with us when we leave" We shall take many happy

Great idea to build a wading pool for the little ones. We found the house very comfortable and quiet, and thought he landscaping was beautiful and well thought out. Happy to see two native species of hummingbirds nectaring on your flowers. I just wanted to drop you a quick note to let you know what a great time we had! The house is wonderful and we were so relaxed. What we loved the most was that we could watch the sun rise and the sun set! Amazing! The tennis courts were great for us to stay active and fun for the little guy who was 1 ½ to run around in. A great addition would be to put lights for night time play! We had everything we needed in the house. We used the big book everyday for information. We hired Laura from Passion Fruit Chefs and some of the best food! I can’t imagine the restaurants being any better than the meals she made for us. Travel on the island was easy and the beaches were beautiful. We hope to come back in the future and we would love to stay at Great Expectations! "The holiday was very good and the family had a very memorable vacation with all 4 children and their children in tow. The island beaches are excellent and most enjoyable as is the whole of the National Park - we did the reef bay walk which was good. St John is one place we would return to - something that only about 20% of our vacation spots achieves, so it was well regarded. We particularly liked the two way views with both sunrise and sunset as well as the wonderful flowers...Many thanks for the use of your wonderful villa." "It was a heavenly week! Your villa is everything you promised, and St. John is a perfect spot for a winter getaway. Cimmaron was very responsive to our requests--another reason for our enjoyment. I was about to say you have thought of everything we could possibly need, but then came up with one tiny suggestion: You and Cimmaron could include in your notes (pre-travel, and on site) the following information for departing guests: you can store luggage with the taxi drivers in Charlotte Amalie upon landing and then wander around town, have lunch, sightsee. It's $15 per person, including transportation to the airport. No need for advance reservations; they meet every ferry and one man organizes it for several drivers. via e-mail: "We're back in the cold North and already thinking about a return to Great Expectations. It was a wonderful trip for our family and the villa is set up beautifully for our family with with adult children and young grandchildren. Cimmaron Management was very responsive when we had a few problems ( no water one day after we got back from the beach, our granddaughter's horrible (unknown until then) allergic reaction to mosquito bites (age 5)) and resolved things very quickly. We were extremely impressed with this level of responsiveness. Our water came back after a short time and the villa gounds were sprayed while we were at the beach so with that and lots of extra insect repellant she was in good shape.

I sat on a weathered wood bench and gazed out at a sea of blue--peacock,
sapphire, teal and every other shade in a Crayola 64 [crayons] box. From
my vantage point high on a hill, I saw nothing remotely connected with
civilization. No people. No houses. No electrical wires. No cola cans.
Just rugged green volcanic hills to punctuate all those blues. Behind
me, the overgrown dirt trail I had walked poked bravely through dense
tropical foliage. the air, which had felt heavy and humid on the trail,
was now a sweet breeze that caressed my bare legs. The sensation was doubly
pleasing because it was December. This, I thought, is why people come
to the Caribbean... I was on the island of St. John, the prettiest and
least spoiled of the United Stated Virgin Islands."
